OK SANDRA was created in memory of Sandra K. Brooks — a woman whose lived experiences, faith, honesty, compassion, and desire to encourage other women inspired this platform. Purple was her color. Silver was her shine.
She is not defined here by anything hard she survived. She's here because of what she gave: a kitchen table, a straight answer, and the sense that you could say the real thing out loud.

When you see "Sandra Says," or a response from OK SANDRA, it represents the editorial voice of the platform — inspired by the kind of honest, caring conversations Sandra believed women needed to have. Our editorial team writes it in that spirit.
During the Founding Preview, the letters you'll read are editorial samples written by our team so you can see the format and the voice. They are never presented as real reader submissions. When reader letters begin publishing, they'll be edited to remove identifying details.
What Sandra offers is perspective — not medical care, not legal advice, not therapy. We'll always tell you when something calls for a professional.

Most women aren't stuck because they're weak. They're stuck because nobody ever laid the choices out on the table. Naming the options is half the work.
K is for Knowledge
Information about your body, your money, your rights, your patterns, and the way relationships actually function. Knowing changes what you can decide.
Our mission: help women and girls understand their options and gain the knowledge necessary to make informed decisions about their lives, relationships, health, wellness, safety, faith, family, money, and future. Within future safety and survivor-resource programming, SANDRA carries the meaning Safety and Navigation During Risk & Abuse — one part of a platform that serves women across many areas of life.
